Before the first call.

Does it have a speakerphone?

Yes. Press the hands-free key and the HD speaker takes over, so nobody has to huddle around the handset. It is the most-asked question we get, and the answer is yes.

Can my kid do 3-way calls?

Yes. The Modern Kit can host two other callers at once, as long as both are in your trusted circle. Plan the bike route together.

Does it need to be near the router?

Only for first-time setup, which uses the included Ethernet cable while the phone updates itself. After that it runs anywhere with Wi-Fi signal, including through mesh systems.

From families

★★★★★
“Its only been a month, and so far it is great. My kids love they can call their grandparents on their own. It reminds me of when I grew up twirling the phone cord and chatting with family. I love the peace of mind in case of emergencies, no need for the kids to use my cell phone.”

“We've really enjoyed this phone. It has every feature we could have hoped for and more. The speakerphone is loud and crystal clear, and we appreciate being able to set a ringtone that's actually easy to hear.Unlike other phones we've used, this one has been reliable and free of the glitches we've experienced in the past. One feature that really impressed me happened the other day when the phone alerted me that it was offline. Sure enough, it had somehow become unplugged!”
